▸ Description

On tonight's episode of low-calorie recipes that'll make weight loss just a little bit easier, we're making a one-pan chicken sausage orzo skillet. This recipe is so easy and only takes about 25 minutes. Start by adding 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a pan over medium heat, then you're gonna add in 4 of your favorite chicken sausages and let that cook for about 7 to 8 minutes. Add in a scoop of garlic and let it cook for another minute. Then add in 8 ounces of dry orzo pasta and let that cook for 1 more minute. Then you're gonna deglaze with 2 cups of low-sodium chicken broth and 1⁄4 cup of half-and-half. Then you're gonna season. So I just did salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and a little bit of red pepper flakes. Only do that portion if you like it spicy. Bring this to a boil, then cover and simmer for about 10 to 12 minutes until your orzo is done. Then you're gonna add in 2 cups of spinach. Stir that around until it's all cooked down and 1⁄2 cup of freshly shredded Parmesan cheese. Make sure everything's completely combined and this will make you 4 servings at 452 calories and 27 grams of protein. And I'm not even kidding, this is one of my favorite pasta recipes I've ever made.
