What's up, guys? Another quick meal prep has arrived. This time, a delicious high-protein taco pasta made in 10 minutes or less with super simple ingredients. So let's jump right into it. For our next dessert recipe, drop your favorite current unhealthy dessert in the comments below and I'll try to put a high-protein spin on the most popular one. Also, don't forget to subscribe. We're getting closer and closer to 500,000. Start this one by taking out a stovetop pan and adding in one tablespoon of oil into it. Once it heats up, add in some optional chopped up bell peppers and onion. You can opt out of these or switch them up with other vegetables. Let them cook over medium-high heat for a couple minutes. Drop your heat to medium and add in one pound of a lean ground chicken beef or turkey. I'm using chicken today. Let that cook while breaking it up until brown. Ground chicken won't look nearly as browned as beef or turkey, so keep that in mind. Once brown, add in three-fourths a cup of water and a packet or one ounce of some reduced-sodium taco seasoning mix. If you don't have access to taco seasoning mix or want to make your own with even less sodium, I'll put a quick recipe on the website with metric conversions, which is always linked up here or below in the description. Continue by mixing everything together and letting it cook on low heat for a couple minutes. While that's cooking, take out eight ounces of your choice pasta and make it however your box says to. I went with protein plus pasta, but regular chickpea or lentil all work great too, depending on your macro goals. Add your cooked pasta into your pan along with one and a half cups of salsa and three-fourths a cup of your favorite taco cheese. Mix it all together until your cheese is melted, then turn your burner off. In the end, it should look like this. Couple tips for this one. Number one, you can change up the heat and flavor by using various salsas. Number two, when I meal prep this for a week, I'll reheat mine in the microwave for around a minute. Tastes great cold too if you don't have a way to reheat it. Number three, top it with guacamole and or sour cream or plain Greek yogurt. Speaking of Greek yogurt, the winner of our last test in your guesstimating for the Greek yogurt in our cornbread cookies video was, bang, congrats to you. For this week's test in your guesstimating, we're gonna go with this much red onion. Guess how much you think it weighs in grams in the comments below. One guess per person and the first one closest to it will win a shaker for sure. With that said, thank you all for watching. Hit that thumbs up button for more quick meal prep ideas like this one.
